On the first day of every month last year, I wrote Jonathan a letter on a card designed by our daughter, Ruth. A letter of love saying those things I probably didn't tell him in day-to-day conversation.
I also began writing love letters to people all over the country to let friends and family members know what made them so special to me.
I wanted to write what my heart felt but I had not expressed. I did not want those thoughts of caring and love to go unsaid.
The new year is right around the corner. There are so many more to write. It is time to get out my pen.
